Is the press release widget free?

Yes. There is no charge, no account and no registration. Paste two lines of code into any site and it works.

Does the widget duplicate full press release text?

No, and it is built so that it cannot. The widget renders only headline, date, issuing organization and a snippet of roughly forty words, each linking to the canonical release. Duplicating full announcements across many sites is the pattern search engines act against, which is why the full text is not available through the widget or the JSON API.

Can the widget show only certain categories?

Yes. Set data-feed to a category slug such as home-services, technology, health or marketing, or to optimized or featured, and only matching announcements are shown.

Is there a JSON API for press releases?

Yes. Every feed is available as JSON at /api/releases.json, /api/optimized.json, /api/featured.json and one endpoint per category. RSS is available at /feed.xml with a WebSub hub declared, so subscribers are notified immediately on publication.
