Privacy policy

No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no reader database. Here is exactly what happens to anything you do send us.

The short version No accounts. No cookies. No analytics. No advertising trackers. No reader database. The only personal data we handle is what you type into a form and send us, and what you send us in an email. We do not sell anything about you to anyone, and we never have.

1. What happens when you just read this site

Nothing is collected. This is a static website. There is no login, no account, and no server-side record of who visited what.

We set no cookies. We run no analytics — no Google Analytics, no pixels, no heatmaps, no session recording, no advertising trackers. We load no third-party scripts on the pages you read. You can verify all of this in your browser’s developer tools, and we would rather you did than take our word for it.

One exception we should name rather than gloss over: the typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. Loading a font means your browser makes a request to Google, and that request carries your IP address. No cookie is set and we receive nothing from it, but it is a request to a third party and you are entitled to know it happens. We are working to serve the fonts from our own server so that it does not.

Because we run no targeted advertising and sell no personal data, there is nothing here for a Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of. We honor it regardless.

2. When you use a form on this site

The submission and contact forms send what you type to FormSubmit, a third-party form-delivery service, which forwards it to us by email. This means your entries pass through a company other than us in order to reach us.

What is sent is what you typed: your name, your business, your contact details, and the announcement or message itself. The forms include a spam-prevention field and a challenge step provided by that service.

We use this service so that the form works reliably rather than depending on your device having an email program configured. If you would rather not use a third party at all, contact us by telephone instead and nothing passes through anyone.

3. If you submit a release

We keep the correspondence and the document, because a published release is a record and we need to be able to show what was approved and by whom. Published releases are public and intended to be — that is what you are paying us for.

Verified profile addresses you supply are published in the release’s structured data, which is the entire purpose of supplying them. Only supply addresses you are happy to be public.

4. Payment

We do not store card numbers. Where payment is taken through a payment processor, the card details go to that processor and not to us, and their handling of your data is governed by their own policy.

5. What we do not do

6. How long we keep things

Correspondence about a published release is kept as long as the release is published, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Correspondence about an announcement we declined, or an inquiry that did not become a release, is kept only as long as it is useful and then deleted.

7. Your rights

Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Residents of other states and countries have comparable rights under their own laws.

Because we hold very little, most of these requests are quick to answer. Ask us using the contact form or by telephone and we will respond within the time your law allows. We will not charge you for it and we will not make you create an account to do it.

If we ever decline a request, we will tell you why and how to appeal it. If you are in Colorado and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General’s office.

8. Where your data goes

We are in the United States and the form-delivery service we use processes data in the United States. If you are contacting us from outside the US, your information will be handled in the US.

9. Changes and contact
