Eye To Ad Media Introduces AI Search Visibility Assessments for Small Businesses
The assessment runs the questions a company's customers actually ask across the assistants they use, and reports which businesses get named instead.

DENVER, Colorado — September 18, 2026
Eye To Ad Media, a Denver marketing agency founded in 2012, has introduced AI search visibility assessments for small businesses. The assessment tests how a company is represented when its category is queried through AI assistants, and reports which businesses are named when the subject business is not.
The agency says the exercise is usually more persuasive than an explanation.
"You can talk to an owner about entity consistency for twenty minutes and watch their eyes glaze," said Zachary Tye Wennstedt, founder and chief executive of Eye To Ad Media. "Or you can show them the answer where their competitor gets named and they don't. That conversation is much shorter."
What the assessment covers
- How the business is described, if at all, across major AI assistants
- Which competitors are named for the same queries
- Inconsistencies between the business's own site, directory listings and other public mentions
- Whether structured data on the site states what the business is, or leaves it to be inferred
- Which claims on the site are verifiable and which cannot be cited
Why this is a small-business problem
Large organizations are already well represented in the sources these systems draw on. They are covered by trade press, they file public documents, and independent parties write about them. A system assembling an answer about a national brand has abundant corroborating material.
Smaller businesses frequently have their own website, a handful of directory entries and whatever reviews have accumulated. When those disagree — an old address on one, a discontinued service on another — the disagreement itself becomes a reason to leave the business out.

Assessments are available to businesses across the United States. Details are at eyetoad.com or by telephone at 1-800-481-8638.
Frequently asked
What is an AI search visibility assessment?
It is a review of how a business appears when its category is queried through AI assistants and AI-generated search summaries. The assessment records which businesses are named, whether the subject business appears, and what information about it the systems appear to hold.
Why would a business not appear in an AI answer?
Common causes include inconsistent information across listings, an absence of third-party sources confirming the business exists and does what it claims, unverifiable claims that cannot be cited, and missing structured data that leaves systems to infer rather than read.
Is this different from search engine optimization?
It overlaps but is not identical. Conventional optimization aims at a position on a results page. AI visibility work aims at inclusion in an answer, which depends more heavily on entity consistency, verifiable claims and corroboration across independent sources.
