The browser-based check scores a business out of 24 across four AI assistants, its Google Business Profile and its own website, and sends no data to the company.

DENVER, Colo. — Oct. 22, 2026 — Eye To Ad Media, the Denver marketing and web development firm founded in 2012, has released a free self-check that shows local business owners whether AI assistants name their business when a customer asks for a recommendation. The check, published Oct. 19 at eyetoad.com/ai-visibility-audit, takes about ten minutes and scores a business out of 24.
The owner runs six checks using their own service and city: a “best [service] in [city]” prompt in Google AI Mode, a cost question in Google AI Overviews, a “who should I call” question in ChatGPT, a reviews search for the business name in Perplexity, a look at the business’s Google Business Profile, and a look at its own website. For each one, the owner ticks what they actually see, such as whether the assistant names the business, links its site and gets its hours and service area right.
The tool runs in the visitor’s browser. It sends nothing to Eye To Ad Media and does not ask for an email address.
What the score means
Three score bands
- 0 to 8, Invisible: assistants do not know the business exists or confuse it with another one
- 9 to 16, Known, not chosen: engines can find the business but name a competitor when asked for a recommendation
- 17 to 24, Cited: the business is being named, and the work is keeping it that way
Each band comes with suggested first fixes. For the lowest band, those start with making the business’s name, address, phone, hours and categories identical across its website and its business listings.
“The self-check uses the same scoring framework as the full audit we run for clients, and it runs entirely in the owner’s browser,” said Zach Wennstedt, founder of Eye To Ad Media.
The full audit
For businesses that want it done for them, Eye To Ad Media’s full audit runs 20 to 40 customer questions across Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. It records which businesses are named and which sources are cited, compares the business’s public facts across those sources and returns a ranked list of 10 to 20 fixes. The audit is included free in any Eye To Ad Media campaign, which runs $500 to $3,000 a month, month to month. As a standalone service it is quoted to the size of the business.
Availability
The self-check is free now at eyetoad.com/ai-visibility-audit. Businesses can also call 1-800-481-8638.
